The Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT) organisation is on an exciting change journey. Tough competition, more stringent legislation and an increasing degree of uncertainty in many areas must be met with an efficient development of both well-known and new technologies, where both external and internal communication plays a pivotal role. The external communication is strongly linked to positioning the Volvo Group as a world leader in our industry including continuously enhancing the attractiveness of Volvo Group as an employer of choice. The internal communication agenda is to drive excellence in leadership communication in order to build and develop GTT as a 'Great Place to Grow' culture. We are currently looking for a new Senior Vice President Communications to join our team, reporting to the Executive Vice President of GTT, Volvo Group. As head of GTT Communications, you will also have global responsibility for the performance and development of the Communications organisation. Mission The SVP Communication's mission is to translate business strategy into aligned communication plans and actions by:Providing GTT employees with clear and consistent information to enhance understanding of business challenges and commitment in strategic direction, objectives and business performance.Championing the culture to give a strong image of GTT internally and externallyEnhancing communicative leadershipInspiring and engaging GTT stakeholders to achieve GTT's great expectationsMain activities and responsibilities:Drive the voice and message of EVP GTT and the Executive Management Team (EMT) to enhance their role in driving performance to meet business goalsDevelop leadership communication platform providing multiple "touch points" between employees and leadershipClear understanding of business issues and strategic direction. Seen as a key business leader, who uses communication expertise to help achieve organizational objectives and solve organizational problemsBe a trusted advisor to the EMT, highlighting and translating communication impacts to business situations to drive strategic decision makingLead and be accountable for the communications of all company strategic programs, policies and processesStrengthen employee engagement and drive commitment to the company's business strategy, vision and culture,Define, drive and measure robust communication evaluations and metrics across the organisationLead and develop the Communications team worldwide, taking advantage of the diversity of the team to create an innovative and efficient working climateTo continually inspire, develop and motivate the people resources within Communication Network, coach others to plan work systematically by establishing business needs and setting linked communication objectives and success measuresBring external and/or Volvo Group Best Practices into GTT Communications practicesCritical competencies for the positionThe SVP Communication:is able to demonstrate a clear vision, global mind set and are successful in people development and culture leadershiphas a clear understanding of business challenges and how to drive communication to achieve business objectives. They demonstrate strong capacity in building networks and is able to influence at all levels in the organisation, directly and through others to make things happenhas strong written and oral communication skills together with an ability to deal with external media. They are able to explore best practices and deliver imaginative approaches to communicationWith a real talent for cultural integration and business analysis, the SVP Communication holds a university degree or a MBA and is able to demonstrate successful international and multi-cultural business experience. The SVP Communication needs to have as a minimum of ten years' experience in Communication or Public Relations agency and be fluent in English business language.
