By challenging conventions, we design premium electric vehicles and mobility experiences that are simple, engaging and distinctive, but that also shape a brighter and a more sustainable future for all.

Description

You will be part of the Chapter Controls Engineering & Artificial Intelligence, which is one of four competence areas within the Software Tribe. Our focus is to develop embedded vehicle software solutions for vehicle motion control, thermal and climate control, comfort control, battery management control, and self-driving capabilities. We are also supporting this development with data analytics and strategies for data management.
We are now looking for experienced control developers that can bring our future integrated vehicle motion control platform to life. Integrated Vehicle Control is where the vehicles motion, both longitudinal and lateral, is integrated and controlled in one application software. Great experience from this development is required, this includes:

• More than 8 years of experiance from automotive software development with at least 5 years as a software development lead
• Working as software development lead in the area of vehicle motion control such as EV propulsion control, breaking control and/or steering control. Experience from integration of the control of these actuators are preferable.
• Very good understanding in all phases of the development of vehicle motion control software, this includes experience from putting software for these systems into production
• Very good understanding of the ISO 26262 standard, especially part 3 to 6. Experienced from working with safety goals and implementation of technical safety requirements

You will join an agile organisation, where team work, empowered self-organising teams and quick learning cycles is a key to success. Thus you need to be a good team player and continuously strive to make the team successful. As a senior engineer it is essential that you enjoy mentoring and have the ability to inspire and guide the team you are part of.
We will off course ensure that YOU will have opportunities to continue to grow in this role and take on new future challenges!

The role involves:

• Controls development (Matlab/Simulink)
• Software development (C/C++)
• Requirements breakdown and analysis

• Collaboration with NEVS engineers and partners at different departments and locations
• Leading teams
• Mentoring of colleagues

We are looking for someone who has:

• Bachelor of Science or higher degree
• Experience with tools such as Matlab/Simulink
• Knowledge in model-based development
• Ability to share her or his expertise to colleagues
• Good communication skills
• Fluent English skills, both spoken and written
• Driver license for vehicle

To be successful in this role, you need to:

• Believe in our future products, this is for sure important - that you are eager to contribute
• Be a team player and understand the importance of well synchronized teams
• Be action oriented, don't wait until someone else removes your "blocker"
• Be innovative, try to find new ways when the old methods don't work
• Be flexible, some things might not always turn out as expected and due to a rapidly changing world, even the "set in stone" requirements might change. Be prepared for that.

Great consideration will be given to your personal attitude for the position!
