The department Vehicle Concept & Integration in the unit Strategy & Vehicle Concepts has the responsibility to lead geometric system integration of complete cars and platforms. The car is divided into seven blocks, and there are seven Block Leaders with the overall responsibility for each block.
As Senior Vehicle Integration Engineer - within the group Vehicle Integration Tophat, you will lead the concept development in your area of the car in the later part of the concept phase, and further balancing of design solution into the industrialisation phase. You will balance the geometric requirements and solutions from among others: Attribute Leaders, Styling and Manufacturing to an agreed and well-functioning car.
This is a very important and central role in our department process. This balancing is the base for all further development work. The role includes also to propose or design own suggestions for design solutions and to support BlockLeaders with data for reporting in the various decision-making forums. In time, we also think that you should try on other block areas in the car to get even wider knowledge. Good communication skills are required in this cross-functional role and you will build and maintain an extensive network throughout the company.
Main responsibilities
• Lead the concept development in the area
• Balancing of design solution into the industrial phase
• Balancing geometric requirements and solutions
• Develop design proposals for technical solutions/manufacturing process in CATIA V5
• Perform benchmark studies on competiotors
• Lead Vehicle Integration meetings
Required qualifications
• Technical education (B.Sc or equivalent)
• Good knowledge and several years' experience of product development processes within automotive
• Ability and experience to lead cross functional meetings in different areas
• Great experience in CATIA V5
• Knowledge of tophat systems
• Fluent in English written and spoken
• Microsoft Office
• Experience from Team Center Engineering and VisMockup would be an asset

• Technical- as well as leadership skills
• Driven and self managed, while being a good team player
• Positive and open minded
