We are looking for a Senior Interface Designer who is passionate about design, and craves working with other smart people to solve the toughest design challenges. We offer an opportunity to innovate and create design impact on a large scale.
As our Senior User Interface Designer you will be responsible for working closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to create and layout the information flow for the user experience. You will collaborate with team members to understand the needs of the UI, and design and construct cohesive and aesthetically pleasing user interface solutions. You will work proactively to stay knowledgeable of current implementation technologies and best practice solutions. The ideal candidate will have a visual design background and strong understanding or background of the process of human interface design. A good understanding of technical aspects is very welcome.
Responsibilities:
• Create UI concepts and solutions that support the Mubito 2.0 platform.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to conceive and improve the Mubito user experience.
• Design interactive navigation, controls and icons.
• Create navigation trees and flow charts.
• Create wire frames, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
• Work with the design team to create a consistent look, feel and function of the design system.
• Draft design specification documents within platform limitations.
• Communicate and partner with teams to iterate the design vision.
• Innovate new solutions, with the ability to present multiple design ideas.
• Work with the design team to identify and implement process improvements that make the group more efficient and effective.
• Contribute to the culture of communication, collaboration and inspiration.
Experience and personal qualities:
• Excellent UI design skills and an outstanding portfolio of interactive web-based projects.
• 5+ years experience in web design or in web UI conception and a solid understanding of the relationship between content, visual design, user interface and technology.
• Experience and participation in the complete product lifecycle of launched websites, software applications or games (Social network or e-commerce is a plus).
• Core competency in graphic design with emphasis on consistency, attention to detail, simplicity and innovation.
• Possess strong communication skills with the ability to listen, articulate your design and advocate best practice solutions.
• Work collaboratively with web designers, product managers and engineers.
• Be organized, work effectively under deadlines, and manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Ability to take direction to meet creative and business needs.
• Strong understanding of implementation technologies, and how to design with limitations.
• Expert abilities with the Adobe® Creative Suite, Flash, ActionScript and PHP experience a plus.
• Consumer Internet experience preferred.
• BA/BS in fine arts, graphic arts, human factors or related field.
Job location:
Malmo, Sweden, some travel should be expected. You must have the appropriate visa to work in Sweden.
