The subject Energy Technology is responsible for three educational programmes: two-year energy technician, three-year engineering in energy and an international master in solar technology. I addition the teachers in energy technology participate in energy related courses for construction engineers. The teachers in energy technology are also active researchers in the research profile Energy, forest and build environment.
Profile
The senior lecturer (assistant professor) position is a long-term full time position located at the School of Technology and Business Studies at campus Borlänge (Sweden).
Academic field
Energy technology is a broad field comprising conversion, distribution, storage and usage of energy on component and system level. The courses ?? over such a width while the research is specialized within solar energy technology and energy efficiency in building.

• Active cooperation with companies and organisations from the energy sector within education and research
• Responsibility for educational programmes or the subject can be included in a few-year's sight
Qualifications
The applicant should be eligible to be employed as senior lecturer at Dalarna University meaning that he/she should be able to prove that he/she has pedagogic proficiency and a PhD degree or equivalent competence from science or other profession of importance for the actual employment profile and duties.
For this employment as senior lecture is required:
• a PhD degree in energy technology with specialization in thermal, electrical, energy systems or energy efficiency technologies.
• good ability to teach in English and in the long term also in Swedish
• good ability to communicate and collaborate within the subject teacher group, within the University as a whole and with external partners
It is a merit to have experiences:
• of research in solar energy or energy efficiency which are the strengths in the research profile or having the ambition to steer research in one of these directions
• from leadership within academy or other for the employment relevant professions
• from energy business
Ranking
In general the basis for the evaluation will be the grade of proficiency that is required in order to qualify for the position of senior lecturer. In addition, the evaluation shall be based on the grade of proficiency with the subject areas included in the post, as decided by the University, as well as proficiency in the duties defined for the position.
In the position shall be taken into consideration grounds of facts that agree with the general labour market, equality, social and employment policy goals.
In the evaluation equal weight will be given to pedagogics and research according to HF chap 4. Examination of the pedagogic proficiency concerns planning, accomplishment and assessment of the teaching and supervision and examination of students.
