We support the Volvo Group in navigating the trends and regulations driving compliance and competitiveness, we guide our brands in taking their responsibilities in a rapidly changing world.
Our global Export Control team secures that the Volvo Group has compliant and effective tools to trade with sensitive items, e.g. military or dual use controlled. We work across the Volvo Group and support all Truck Divisions and Business Areas.

We are part of the Customs, Trade and Export Control function and we have a close cooperation with Group Legal and Compliance since export control is one of the compliance core pillars.
This is how you make an impact
The role has a focus on export control analysis and classifications of Volvo group technology.
The main responsibility in this role is to secure that export of products as well as technical documentation comply with the export control regulations, spanning from high level compliance requirements to specific technical evaluations in the end to end process. You will be looking for export risks in the early product development phase, working cross-functionally with sales, legal, purchasing, technology and operations.
Our aim is that you will be able to:
Act as a center of expertise on technical evaluations for export control within the Volvo Group with focus on products and technology
Drive investigations regarding product characteristics and new technology to evaluate against military specifications
Work with the entire Volvo Group product portfolio
Participate in identification of current and potential risks regarding export control in early stages of product development
Take an active role in task forces with representatives from various functions within the Volvo Group such as Legal, Sales, Technology and Operations on specific export control matters.
Are we the perfect match?
We think you have a solid experience from engineering. Part of the job is to analyze and interpret regulations and being able to explain them to others. For this position it is valuable to be able to see both holistically and dive into details when needed.
We are looking for a person who enjoys networking, has a continuous improvement mindset and is confident and comfortable being a spokesperson. Our digitalization journey has started and we need you to support us on this journey so experience in working with e.g. BI-tools, data-management and automation is a merit.
We think that you have a university degree in engineering or similar competence.
Swedish and English are required, both verbally and written.
