For our client we are looking for a Test Manager for a large program that will include 3 projects covering all IT and business activities to introduce the client's ERP system JDE for manufacturing and finance as well as implementing IBM Sterling as a supplier portal. The Test Manager will be responsible for leading testing activities on the entire JDE Aycliffe program and will report to the Project Managers.
Job description:
• Identify and understand the business process to be covered in the test scope.
• Estimate the testing effort for writing testing plan, test cases, test execution and test reports.
• Together with the project management setup the Quality Assurance strategy with the quality metrics identified for the agreed test scope.
• Form a testing team with a mixed group of JDE professionals and business users with the right skill set for each process covered by the test scope.
• Together with the Project Managers designs testing strategies, conduct and/or oversee test activity for the projects, to ensure effective planning.
• Ensure clear and coordinated communications regarding test progress and closure.
• Report discrepancies, track their lifecycles and provide timely and accurate reports to project and program management.
• He/she will be tasked with developing, deploying and maintaining test scripts and cases of all processes covered in the agreed test scope.
• Drive and support all test activities related to the end-to-end testing by evaluation and administration, including support for unit, integration, operational and user acceptance testing.
• Perform risk analysis, build and evaluate quality checkpoints, and ensures consistency and adherence to organizational practices.
Required skills:
• Previous experience as Test Manager for ERP implementation projects, preferable JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
• Previous industrial exposure to complex manufacturing industries.
Extensive experience in:
• Creating test plans for manual testing.
• Reviewing requirements and solution designs.
• Providing test coverage and status reports including defect and trends reports.
• Willing to travel to support on site test activities both at Aycliffe and Huskvarna.
