Your future responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Teradata developer to work in one of the key development projects of strategic importance to the Bank.
This project involves building a data warehouse which will serve as a common data repository for business data which will fulfil the analytical and reporting needs of Treasury. Over time, this data warehousing solution will replace many existing data repositories (or data marts) and reporting solutions.
In TALM IT Solutions, we support our business partners with sustainable IT solutions and effective IT services for development and maintenance. The solutions are mainly supporting the trading process, risk and compliance reporting, liquidity risk management, market risk management and funds transfer pricing.
What you'll be doing:
• Involvement in all phases of the IT development life cycle.
• Creating high quality documentation.
• Ensuring the deliverables is of high quality by following processes and delivering on schedule.
• Ensuring the stability of the application in production.
• Keeping a continuous dialogue with our business partners and other stakeholders through the development life cycle.

You keep yourself regularly updated about the latest trends in data warehousing, Banking and improving technical skills in Teradata and proactively suggesting ways to improve the development process based on past experience.
Your background:
• Prior experience working on Banking Data warehousing projects as a Senior Teradata developer with a minimum 8 years' experience working on Teradata in an agile environment. Experience of an ETL tool like Datastage would be an added advantage
• Written and spoken English at a professional level is expected
• You are very organized and work productively in an agile environment, where focus on delivering according to deadlines is essential
• Excellent communicator with an ability to both facilitate dialogue and drive decisions when necessary
• High degree of relevant business understanding and particularly in analysis of "real world" business problems. Background in banking is mandatory
