Access to these solutions is provided through Cerner managed data centre hosted offerings or alternatively in a number of cases, clients taking on hosting responsibilities utilising their own data centre facilities.
With the recent growth of the Cerner's business in Sweden, we are looking for an Senior Technology Architect to join an exciting project for Region Västra Götaland (VGR). This involves the deployment of an integrated digital healthcare environment, replacing many of its existing IT systems in hospitals and primary care facilities with a comprehensive solution hosted on the client's local infrastructure. The new system will support clinical processes to manage the health of the region's citizens providing clinicians with access to a modern integrated digital care system for increased patient participation, safer patient experience and improved work environment for healthcare professionals.
As a Senior Technology Architect, you will be working as part of a team of technical architects but central in ensuring that designs reflect business needs for the client, are compliant with the contract and can be delivered in the timeline for taking the various phases live. You'll be working closely with project teams, client and Cerner and playing a key role in the Design Authority, prompting the appropriate infrastructure. You'll be required to create infrastructure logical designs, based on solution architecture requirements. High availability, failover, DR and operational elements, such as support and maintenance considerations will need to be impacted as part of the design process and taking client end constraints into consideration as risks or opportunities for based on specifics such as proximity of data centres and resulting latency
The role will involve a considerable amount of documentation creating high-level and detailed design documentation, that support full project lifecycles, testing elements included that being configuration items that are handed over to service management.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems and Management Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
• At least 6 years system engineering or technical consulting work experience
• VCDX (VMware Certified Design Expert)
• Oracle Certifications
• VMWare Certifications
• Citrix Certifications
Preferred Experience:
• At least 5 years of experience working on the design and deployment of complex, full-cycle technology implementations, infrastructure, client/server applications
• At least 5 years systems management, implementation and operations work experience for client/server applications
• At least 5 years TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting work experience
• Working in environments where frameworks and processes based on such things as PRINCE2, PMP & ITIL were followed
Expectations:
• Willing to work overtime or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
• Ability and willing to travel up to 80%, based on relative location of client premises
