The Powertrain Engineering HW Development team at CEVT is now looking for a new team member to join our team. The Hardware Design Team is responsible for the development of new global powertrains from the early concept phase to industrialization. Our organizations play an important role since these systems will be the main technology for the Geely group going forward.
The Technical specialist is a person that, thanks to proven experience in a given field, work on different part of the product life cycle: work on the long term by defining strategies and technology to be prepared for future development, implement mid-term by developing system design and support short term by helping with technical guidance in most critical issues.
To succeed in this role, you need to have deep technical expertise in the Powertrain Engineering area with proven deliveries and knowledge about trends and applicability of new technologies/automotive standards
The position reports to Vice-President Powertrain Hardware Design.
Responsibilities/Tasks
* Lead the technology strategy and vision development in the technical area
* Developing system design solutions based on best practices to meet new requirements.
* Initiate and lead research and advanced engineering programs
* Explore opportunities for research collaboration with industry and academia
* Train and coach the organization as well as being speaker at conferences
* Be an active part of systemization work, from functions definition to component requirements.
* Develop best practices to handle the requirements of today and the future.
* Support the project, responsible persons or supplier with constructive feedback
* Ability to lead a dedicated working group according to a define timeline in either a system or field area (NVH, efficiency,...)
Job requirements
* Extensive experience of automotive development within Powertrain Engineering
* M.Sc. Eng. or similar
* Fluent in English both written and spoken
* Efficient in problem solving
* Genuine interest for solving technical challenges
* Ability to drive changes in complex environment
