Digital & IT is a function within Volvo Energy. We support our customers transition to a carbon-free world through great Digital solutions and experiences that users love and enables customers to shift to fossil-free operations. We truly care about the customer's business in terms of up-time, safety, productivity and of course green energy supply. We aim at having industry-leading simplicity and usability for our digital services, such as routing, find-book-pay and Chargepoint Management Systems.
So - what are we looking for in this specific role?
Volvo Energy is building a digital platform to support the large need for Commercial Vehicle Charging solutions and services in the world. This platform will support charging users with a seamless experience all the way from the digital interfaces to the connected charger. We are now looking for a Senior technical lead for charger integrations to join our charging digital products core team.
As senior technical lead, you will be the go-to expert within Volvo Energy for integrations between charger models and back-end solutions like Chargepoint Management Systems (CPMS).
You take pride in building a deep understanding of opportunities and limitations with market standard protocols for integration like OCPP and you make sure different charger models are seamlessly integrated in the Volvo Energy charging services and digital solutions.
You will work closely together with the core team members, several different qualified teams and external suppliers to design and build the future Digital platform needed for Vehicle charging.
As the senior technical lead, you will provide charger integration/OCPP requirements to product and services design, design charger integrations and drive the work with continuous validation and testing of integrations to charger models.
This role is placed in Volvo group Innovation Center CampX, Gothenburg, Sweden.
Qualifications likely required to be successful
• Several years of practicing in software or embedded software architecture or development roles
• University degree relevant to the position: in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, computer science, Informatics or equivalent.
• Experience from electromobility services, charging systems or energy infrastructure.
• Experience from integrating hardware with backend IT solutions to build user experiences both onboard.
• Good understanding and experience from developing API based integrations. Hands-on experience from OCPP protocol implementations is considered a large plus.
• Good understanding of cyber security and network design
• Experience from Agile development and DevOps practices
• Experience from leading others, as architect, line manager, team leader, product owner or similar
• Strong technology interest - always interested in learning more
• Ability to work in a heterogenous environment with several development teams, both inhouse and with players in the Digital Ecosystem.
• A "hands on, get the job done" attitude
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
