We are expanding our electrification and power quality / conversion business and looking for a Senior Technical Lead-Electrification systems to technically lead the global R&D strategic areas in Data Center Electrification.
This role is key to driving the company strategy and assuring its execution.

How You'll Make An Impact
Provide technical leadership in the development of technology and product strategies related to power quality solutions in electrical networks, data center electrification, and distribution DC grids.
Develop innovative products, systems, and solutions aligned with strategic technology and product objectives.
Supervise strategy execution and foster a culture that encourages employees to experiment with appropriate resources at suitable levels.
Introduce disruptive concepts into R&D operations and establish frameworks for technology and product development initiatives.
Offer technical and analytical guidance to cross-functional teams, including R&D.
Lead or contribute to forming technology and product development teams, ensuring alignment with business strategy while driving team performance and growth.
Participate in intellectual property assessments and support the preparation of patent applications.
Prepare technical specifications, and define laboratory testing equipment and procedures.
Create or review design artefacts for products, systems, and solutions.
Coordinate pilot plant activities or initial production runs for new products or processes.
Actively participate in, contribute to, and represent Hitachi Energy at international standardization committees, forums, events, and working groups.

Your background
Possession of a Master's or PhD degree in Engineering (Electrical, Power Electronics, or related disciplines)
In-depth expertise in power systems, power quality, power electronics and control, with practical experience in application areas such as electrical distribution networks, industrial sectors, transportation relevant to the energy transition
Over 15 years of comprehensive experience in research, innovation, technology and product development, encompassing ideation, team formation, market introduction, and lifecycle management
Superior communication and stakeholder management capabilities, adept at navigating varied interests and agendas
Proven track record in designing research methodologies to determine future technical directions and anticipate evolving technology scenarios
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and influence executive leadership on the adoption of practices, strategies, and procedures
Extensive experience in national and international standardization committees, guiding product development, ensuring compliance, quality, and global market integration.
Significant experience in leading professionals, empowering them with autonomy and independence in their assignments
