Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Technical Engineer focusing on physical IT room infrastructure to join our team. As a technical specialist in the Site Tech Engineering area, you will design and develop the physical IT room infrastructure of the H&M Group, including IT rooms and server racks, cooling systems, power distribution and backup power, cable management, and monitoring solutions.
Together with our engineering teams and business units, you will work closely to ensure the successful execution of different projects and activities related to physical IT room infrastructure. Your ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in parallel and across different teams, departments, and external vendors will be crucial to your success in this role.

Key responsibilities:
You have a key role in leading and developing the physical IT room infrastructure within the H&M Group.
You design and architect solutions that meet current and future business needs as well as develop standard solutions and best-practice guidelines.
You plan and implement IT room layouts, including server racks, cooling, monitoring, IT equipment, UPS systems, and power systems. You collaborate with vendors for procurement and support of physical IT room infrastructure components and solutions.
You collaborate with different IT teams and vendors to ensure proper integration of new hardware into existing IT and building infrastructure.
You oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of physical IT room infrastructure projects and activities.
You collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to understand business needs, capacity requirements, define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
You drive continuous improvements and innovation when it comes to our physical IT room infrastructure and stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
You develop and maintain documentation for physical IT room infrastructure design, guardrails, standards, processes, and best practices.
You provide advice and support regarding physical IT room infrastructure for the H&M Group, with a special focus on construction projects and prioritized initiatives.
You engage with vendors and stakeholders to build on current collaboration.
You participate actively in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and project retrospectives.
You coordinate keeping project artifacts up to date in tools like Teams, SharePoint, ServiceNow, Confluence and JIRA.

Qualifications
You have a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
You have extensive experience (10+ years) of working with IT infrastructure in general, and, more specifically, proven experience (5+ years) of working with physical IT room infrastructure.
You have extensive experience of collaborating and coordinating across multiple IT infrastructure teams, external vendors, and stakeholders.
You have strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships and have excellent communication and collaboration skills.
You use curiosity and adaptability to grasp new concepts and technologies quickly and can bridge the gap between technical requirements and business needs.
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage complex timelines.
You have attention to detail and a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
You have firsthand experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Office tools
You are outgoing, approachable, and have a very strong technical understanding of both physical IT room infrastructure and IT infrastructure in general.
You have strong analytical skills and can comprehend and communicate complex solutions effectively.
You work independently and can lead physical IT room infrastructure projects and activities in close collaboration with different teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
You approach challenges with a solution-oriented mind-set and take ownership of your work.

Additional information
This is a fulltime permanent position, starting as soon as possible according to agreement. The role is an on-site position, based in our office in Stockholm, Sweden. This role may include travelling.
