The energy sector is experiencing a rapid transition where understanding the impact of renewables, changing consumer behavior and decarbonization is essential. The Power System Analysis department works on helping our clients predict, manage and plan for these challenges.
As an independent and trustworthy partner, we support our customers in decision making and managing risks. Their challenges are typically related to security of supply, electrification, decentralized production and fault investigations.
Do you want to join us and help to support the Energy Transition? We are looking for a Senior/Principal Technical Consultant with a background in Electrical Engineering, Electric Power Engineering, Power Systems or similar.
Your tasks and responsibilities
As a Senior/Principal Technical Consultant, you will contribute to the success of our team by applying your power engineering knowledge to solve the customer's problem in the most effective way. Our projects are often cross-functional, and you will be able to combine your specific area of expertise with other those of other colleagues across the globe. You will present your results in clear, high-quality reports and presentations to customers and get freedom and support to develop strong customer relationships. The tools used range from classic calculations to state-of-the-art power system simulation software and instruments for on-site measurements. You will also help identify market opportunities, develop our existing services and establish new services.
You will be leading and executing projects of different sizes, for local Swedish customers as well as international customers. You will also participate in conferences and write proposals, applications and papers.
Unlike other providers of similar services, we perform most of our project work in-house. With the help of our highly competent team, you will develop new tools and models for design and analysis of today's and future electric grids.
Finally, you will have the opportunity to take the technical responsibility for one or more areas/topics and to supervise junior colleagues and develop your mentoring skills.
Our projects typically consist of:
Studies and investigations, mainly related to:

• power system design, analysis, control and stability
• energy efficiency
• protection and fault clearance
• power electronics modeling, simulation and control
• failure investigations
Measurements, modelling and validation
Courses for industry and academia.
Project Management

Qualifications:
We are looking for a Senior Technical Consultant who is an enthusiastic team player, can organize and lead projects and who actively contributes to the success of the team by collaborating to achieve results.
You also have:
At least a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Electric Power Engineering, Power Systems or similar. Preferably you have a Ph.D. with specialization in Power Systems or Power Electronics.
10 or more years of experience in the power industry.
Established network in the power industry is a merit, as is experience in the consulting business
Specialist knowledge in one or more of the following areas: frequency control, grid stability, grid applications of power electronics, HVDC / FACTS, cable systems, battery energy storage applications.
Excellent communication skills in English, and preferably also in Swedish.
Strong business understanding, are customer-oriented and flexible. You are used to "put yourself in the customer's shoes".
Organized your own work and that of others. You like to share your knowledge with others and mentor younger colleagues.
Experience in project management is an additional merit for the position.
