hela Sverige Metrea Simulations is looking for a Senior Technical Artist to come join our teams in managing art content for the ultimate in high fidelity combat simulation. We strive to push the boundaries of what's possible in simulation and you will work closely together with our artists, programmers and domain experts (e.g. fighter pilots) in doing so.
Responsibilities include:
Be the link between programmers, artists and designers
Design and implement art workflows and tools in all areas of art production
Shader development, optimization and debugging in hlsl or node based systems
Analyze and improve visual quality in all areas, especially in vehicle and environment rendering
Working with artists to develop art asset budgets, making sure performance is up to par
Skills and Requirements:
3 or more years of experience in production as a technical artist.
Experience in Unreal Engine.
Experience with shader development and/or procedural methods.
Not scared of experimenting.
Passion for pushing the state of the art in terms of fidelity.
A high sense of self-motivation and initiative.
Be proactive and work without direct supervision.
US or EU citizenship (UK ok)
Must be located in Sweden, Poland, UK or USA (atm we do not offer relocation)
Additional Skills:
Avid & passionate gamer
A love for military themed games and simulations
Experience with procedural world and asset generation methods
Experience from the video game industry
Experience working with international teams
Additional language skills (e.g. Swedish, Polish, German)
