We are excited to announce an opening for a Senior Systems Engineer, a role that is pivotal to our mission and our team. This position calls for a hands-on and occasionally on-site commitment, aligning closely with the strategic and operational roadmap of our IT department.
Your Role as Senior Systems Engineer
As a Senior Systems Engineer at Knightec, you will be instrumental in enhancing the operational capacity and productivity of our IT infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:
• Collaborating across IT areas to define and implement infrastructure strategies.
• Employing a proactive scalable approach to solution engineering and infrastructure architecture.
• Enabling IT operations and support services, including the Service Desk.
• Leading the technical aspects of significant projects, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and support.
Your role demands a blend of strategic thinking and practical problem-solving, requiring deep technical expertise and a collaborative spirit. You will be working with a diverse array of tools and technologies, driving forward our commitment to creating customer value and setting an example in the consulting industry.
Who We Are Looking For
• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in System Administration, Platform Engineering, or IT Infrastructure.
• Proficiency in English; Swedish is a plus for better communication with teams and stakeholders.
• Expertise in server management, network management, data backup, disaster recovery, and security-focused system architecture.
• A commitment to standardized documentation practices.
• Eagerness to explore and setup Automation solutions
• Broad knowledge of managing and troubleshooting Linux/Windows Server environments.
• Wide experience managing Microsoft 365 / On-prem Enterprise infrastructure and administration services such as IAM (Entra ID / AD / tiering / SSO / SCIM), MDM (Intune), Exchange and Sharepoint Online.
• Broad experience within network & endpoint security principals incl. Firewall, Load Balancing, Proxies, Routing.
• Wide experience in virtualisation/containers/hypervisors (VMware).
• Scripting skills (PowerShell/Bash) and Infrastructure as Code
• Understanding and development of IT Security practices and measures.
Key Responsibilities
• Aligning with the IT team to fulfill the objectives outlined in the Systems Engineering roadmap.
• Conducting active monitoring and proactive maintenance of critical business systems.
• Serving as the escalation point for complex technical queries.
• Documenting both existing and new infrastructure and operational processes.
