As a Senior System Engineer for the HVAC unit, you will become a member of the thermal hardware and function team. You will work closely together with other team members and colleagues in our department and interface with other areas in the organization. You will be a part of an open-minded and supporting team, where we together create and develop for success! We are striving to have a flat and flexible organization where everyone can, and will, make an impact.
This role includes a broad scope of working tasks, everything from supplier and project meetings, vehicle expeditions, defining concepts, analyze HVAC characteristics and discussion of future solutions. The work process includes the early concept phase to the finished product, and you get to be will be involved in the whole journey! This requires great responsibility, and flexibility is the key to succeeding, as you will work with a lot of varying tasks.
This is what you will do most of the time, depending on project phase:
• Lead the internal assignment and coach the development supplier to meet HW/SW requirements
• Specify and follows up testing and validation at suppliers and at CEVT
• Analyze test results together with supplier and attribute leaders
• Mechanical and mechatronic development of systems and components
• Breakdown vehicle requirement into system and component requirements
• Support the defined release plans
• Lead the supplier selection process
Is it You?
We are looking for someone open-minded with a "can do" mentality. As a person, you are solution-driven, structured and able to work independently. We also see that you have a team mindset and an outgoing personality with the ability to guide and inspire others. You are persistent in pursuing targets and you are able to argue for decisions you think are necessary. To be a part of our team, you need to be flexible and always ask yourself how you can contribute to the team's common goal. Your change management skills are vast and you have the ability to work in cross-functional teams. Cultural sensitivity and curiosity, especially Asian - European culture, are important to us.
You have probably this kind of background and qualifications:
• At least 3 years' experience of HVAC development and specification of systems and components for automotive use
• Experience with requirement tools like Systemweaver and product data management tools like Teamcenter
• Experience in working with PLM systems
• Experience in project management
• Fluent English in speech and writing
• Chinese language is a merit
