Edgeware is looking to strengthen our project delivery and support organization with a new Senior System Engineer to serve new and existing customers mainly in eastern Europe, but also across the globe.

We are looking for a skilled Senior System Engineer that enjoys customer interaction and that is challenged by troubleshooting complex environments. Experience from the TV / Media business is a benefit, but not a must.

TASKS:

- Day-to-day service and support of Edgeware customers and partners globally as a member of the EMEA Operations team.
- Give customers advice on how to use the Edgeware system, provide troubleshooting support, corrective actions and root cause analysis.
- Close cooperation with R&D and Solution Architects to find solutions and solve customer issues.
- Actively contribute to our Customer satisfaction!
- Project work, i.e. installation, integration and testing.
- Occasional travel to customer sites.


QUALIFICATIONS:

- University degree in Computer Science or Engineering/equivalent experience
- Based in EU
- At least 3 years relevant work experience.
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Good analytic ability and problem-solving capabilities.
- Outgoing personality with a customer focus and can do attitude.
- Self-going and a wish to learn new skills.
- Comfortable with the Linux operating system IP network design and operation.

Preferred additional qualifications:

- Streaming technologies, such as RTSP, HTTP, HLS, DASH, and MSS.
- Fundamentals of media codecs, formats, transport and container protocols, such as MPEG-2, H.264/AVC, AAC, AC3, MP4, TS, and DRM systems.
- Scripting languages, such as Python.
- Database technologies, such as MySQL.
- Able to interpret network traces such Wireshark and/or TCP dump.
- Experience with production deployments of SaaS using Google Cloud/AWS/Azure.
- Knowledge how to scale systems vertically and horizontally.
