Our team is growing, and we are currently seeking a Senior System Engineer in Diagnostics to join our innovative Electromobility team at Volvo Group! What you will do
As part of our team, you will design diagnostic systems that enable efficient fault tracing as well as fallback strategies. You will achieve this by analyzing systems, conducting Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEAs), and collaborating cross-functionally with experts from various fields. Your key deliverables will include diagnostic system concepts and requirements, which will be implemented by other development teams.

Your future team
Our team is responsible for designing the electromobility diagnostics system. We are a group of highly skilled professionals who share a passion for technology and a commitment to developing products that make a real impact-for Volvo Group's customers and for society. Our primary focus areas include diagnostic architecture and systems design.
Who are you?
To succeed in this position, you are a team player and a problem solver. You have strong communication skills, solid technical knowledge, and a curiosity for learning new things. You are solution-driven and focused on achieving results.
It is required that you have:
* A Master of Science in a relevant Engineering field.
* Fluency in both written and spoken English.
* At least 5 years of experience in diagnostic system design within the EV/Electromobility field.
* Experience in writing and managing requirements.
* Experience working in teams with strong collaboration skills.
Additionally, it is highly advantageous if you have:
* Understanding of one or more of these technical areas: Battery Management Systems, Motor Drive Systems, Charging, Thermal, and High Voltage.
* Knowledge of ISO 26262, R100, CCS/MCS standards.
* Experience in developing diagnostic platform solutions.
* Familiarity with ISO/SAE diagnostic communication standards and OBD legal requirements.
* Experience in embedded software development, including Simulink/TargetLink.
* Scripting skills (e.g., Python or similar tools).
* CAN communication knowledge, including experience with CANalyzer.
