IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania's success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.

The work environment at Scania's IT department is international and our employees represent many different nationalities and countries.



We are now looking for a skilled .NET developer to strengthen our development team within the Services Delivery IT department.

We are a team of 25 people, developing, maintaining and supporting Scania's service contracts management operations globally. Our way of working is agile and we are aiming for self-organizing teams with focus on high quality in our deliveries. Our current monolith Contract System needs to be replaced during next years and we have recently started this journey. The new Scania Contract system will be built as microservices in the Cloud, and the language is .NET.

Your Responsibility:

In this role, you need to have a good understanding of IT system development lifecycle, agile culture and way of working. As a member of the development team you will mainly work with design and development, developing microservices in the Cloud,

As part of a Mob team you will develop and work closely with developers testers and product managers, and you need to be flexible and able to step outside your role to help out and support with what's needed in the current situation.

Your Profile:

We think you are an experienced Full-Stack Developer with a degree in IT or equivalent experience, with a couple of years of experience developing new products and designs in .NET.

We'd like to see that all our applicants have:

• Experience of developing and enabling new products and designs.
• Good knowledge of .NET Core and Microsoft-like products (e.g. C#, SQL server, MVC, TFS, WCF, Entity framework)
• Good knowledge of JavaScript and Angular
• Application development experience using MicroServices on Container/Cloud technologies such AWS.
• Interest in automated testing against server-less applications running on AWS.
• Experience of Agile or iterative/incremental software development methods such as Kanban or Scrum.
• Motivation to simplify and improve, share knowledge and learn from others.
• Knowledge in building reusable and modular IT solutions

We expect applicants to be curious, have excellent problem-solving skills and to have a genuine interest in developing in the role as system developer. To be successful in this role you will also need to have good communication skills and feel comfortable working closely with several parties within the business. You are a team player, but also capable of working independently. As the corporate language is English, you need to be proficient in written and spoken English.
