The Senior Software Architect is responsible for driving design decisions and leading the quality work around coding, source code control, code reviews, change management and configuration management within the software team. This applies to new launch projects, pre-study and legacy products. The challenge of this role is to apply lean work processes and robust scalable solutions together with the software team and the system engineer for us to build our future products around.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Software Architect to join our Audiology Software department at the Cochlear BAS headquarters located in Mölnlycke, Sweden. Reporting to the group manager this role works with engineers, product marketers and cross-functional teams. This Senior Software Architect role is responsible for leading design choices and development of software systems,leading the team in best practices and to oversee the documentation of the design
In this permanent role you'll have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to Cochlear's successful history of innovation by applying your knowledge of software development. You'll know you've been successful in this role when you've participated in the release of a medical device software that makes people hear again by configuring the sound processor to their needs.
Key Requirements
• Engineering Degree or Engineering Certificate.
• Technical expert with advanced specialist knowledge which typically takes 5 - 8 years to acquire.
• Fluent in English and Swedish.
• Good writing and presentation skills.
• Experience in object-oriented development and design.
• Experience with software design patterns.
• Experience in developing applications in Visual Studio .Net.
