The role:
Technogarden Engineering is looking for, on consultant assignment, a Senior Survey Specialist, for a customer in the south east region of Sweden.The position is within a department responsible for all technical preparations for the offshore installations. They have responsibility for providing specialist services and core competence support to all installation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Tender and project preparation with respect to all survey and positioning related subjects.
Work includes (amongst others):
prepare scope of work, specify equipment to be used, review subcontractor survey proposal and operational procedures.
Evaluate subcontractor survey acquisition and processing software.
Evaluate subcontractor ROV survey and positioning equipment
Provide procurement support with scope of work and specifications. Take part in negotiations.
Carry out desk top studies.
Undertake shore landing site visits.
Determine cost effective survey options given available subcontractors and latest technology.
Interface with survey & positioning subcontractors. Manage and supervise chartered survey team(s) when the company performing installations and surveys from own vessels.
Advise project teams on installation aids/methods required for (subsea) survey and positioning.
Prepare company representative survey briefing instructions.
Provide assistance during offshore execution of critical survey tasks.
Maintain a good and updated market knowledge with suppliers and equipment in the business.
Key Skills:
A bachelor degree or higher in Hydrography, Geodesy or equivalent.
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the following fields of expertise:
Hydrographic surveys, in particular pre-installation route surveys.
Construction support, in particular ROV depth of burial surveys, rock placement and route pre-sweeping.
(Survey) data processing.
Experience in a project environment is preferred
