Description - Surface Treatment Centre:
Surface Treatment Centre (STC) is an analysis, verification and material development centre unique in the automotive industries regarding competence, equipment and test methods. We are today approximately 30 persons in the staff working with Surface Treatment testing. Besides VCC we offer external customers and suppliers our services. To face our customer's needs we have a wide variety of advanced equipment such as Scanning Electron Microscope, Weather-Ometer, Corrosion cabinets etc.
Surface Treatment Centre (STC) is a part of the section Surface Treatment Engineering within the Research & Developement dept. Painted Body & Exterior Engineering. STC consists of two groups 93662 Corrosion protection and Adhesives and 93663 Coating systems.
We are now looking for a Surface Treatment Senior Rheology Expert
Responsibility
Perform testing of adhesives, sealers, corrosion protection and damping materials.
Perform rheology measurements, static and fatigue testing of adhesives, etc.
Perform analysis of bodies and components.
Support in running production in material related issues.
Participate and lead advance engineering projects and method development.
Qualifications
University degree or equivalent work experience in Chemistry/Materials/Polymers.
Good theoretical knowledge within the rheology and polymer area.
Industrial experience of sealing, damping, adhesive and corrosion protection materials.
Work life experience for 5-10 years.
Personal qualifications
Strong analytical skills.
Good listening and communication skills.
Strong drive for results and ability to act independently and to take the initiative.
Ability to cooperate and work within a team.
Structured way of working.
Fluent in Swedish and English.
