Essential Responsibilities:
In this role you will be responsible for the development, assessment and execution of selecting capable suppliers and ensuring they introduce components that deliver exceptional product quality for our customers. The Senior Supplier Capability and Process Expert will use deep technical/process knowledge and influencing skills within the organization and suppliers, to define and execute supplier selection in alignment with GE Healthcare and industry standards as well as providing leadership, technical direction and support to extended virtual staff across region(s).
Key responsibilities include:
Provide leadership and technical direction for supplier selection process
Promote technical excellence in region(s), support teams through technical challenges and lead special projects with key suppliers
Establish and maintain positive relationships with required external and internal interfaces to ensure that customer requirements are understood and being achieved
Effectively communicate technical, regulatory and compliance aspects of supplier selection activities vertically and horizontally in the organization
Ensure positive actions are taken to encourage growth, technical development, and improved interpersonal skills across supplier development and capabilities
Team player able to work closely with a global cross-functional teams and open to sharing information and best practices with them
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor or Master Degree in an Engineering or other technical discipline
Deep technical expertise and experience in design and manufacturing processes in metal fabrication & machining and/or plastics
Significant experience with Quality Management System tools, continuous improvement methodologies and in-depth understanding of site level products and related processes
Experience in supporting a manufacturing environment
Valid EU work permission
Desired Characteristics:
Significant experience in product development and industrialization including problem solving, root cause analyses and leading and influencing others to drive change (cross functionally and globally)
Proven leadership in lean manufacturing processes using Six Sigma tools
Proven leadership in a quality role, with understanding of quality systems deployment including production and process controls and CAPA
Excellent oral communication skills and demonstrated experience with communicating within all levels of the organization and teaching best practices
