Position
The Senior Anylasis Design Engineer will be apart of the Structural Engineering department and will be reporting to the Group Manager.
The primary reponsibilities will include:
• Structural design according to classification rules.
• Structural analysis with the SESAM software package.
• Buckling analysis
• Simplified fatigue analysis.
• Stochastic fatigue analysis.
• Collision and accidental loading analysis.
• Inspection, mechanical completion and commissioning at shipyards and other sites around the world.
Profile
The ideal candidate has qualifications and competencies which primarily include:
• Completion of a M.Sc. degree in Naval Architecture (preferable), Mechanical Engineer or Civil Engineer.
• 15 to 20 years experience of structural analysis of ships and floating offshore structures.
• Knowledge about ship and offshore rules concerning the DNV and ABS classification societies.
• Knowledge of the DNV software suite SESAM.
• Expertise in the area of fatigue analysis.
• Communicates fluently in both English and Swedish.
• Initiate actions to progress work and takes appropriate action to meet challenging goals, schedules or business needs.
• Takes personal responsibility for own career path by actively seeking development opportunities.
• Question the effectiveness of current systems and processes and looks for ways to improve on them.
• Mentors others in self development by sharing experiences of both prevoious successes and failures.
