Cold Structures is one of five product departments within Design & Validation and our responsibility is to have product knowledge over time. The department is having a major role within all projects regarding Cold Structures. We contribute to the company's product planning and are responsible for identifying the Product Platform that makes it possible to offer product solutions with mature technologies. Based on the product plan we are responsible to identify the product concept plans that show how the concept needs to evolve in order to meet costumer or company demands.
The product department consists of Chief Design Engineer, Chief Concept Engineer, Design Leaders, Senior Solid Mechanics Engineers/Leaders, Senior Definition Engineers/Leaders, Composite Specialists and young professionals. We are now in urgent need of a Senior Analyses Engineers.
Works Description:
We have products in production, several product development projects running and we are starting concept evaluation for new Next Single Aisle engines. Our capacity within Strength & Life can not cover all existing and new components. You will be part of a Design Team, and as a Senior Strength & Life Engineer you will work as the product specialist and/or leader of an analyses team. You will be performing analyses, making syntheses and reports in order to justify the design choices or non-conformances. You will also prepare material in front of internal and external reviews. You are well aware about the structural requirements and the logic for developing a structure at VAC.
You will also work closely with our Competence Center Solid Mechanics & Structural Dynamics in order to ensure that Best Practise Methods are being used. Within the department you will also contribute to evolve efficient processes and it is important that you support our vision "Deliver As Promised".
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5-7 years experience of Strength and Life Analyses
• Leader ability and structured way of working
• Excellent in co-operation and networking, team player
• MSc or equal experience
• Fluent in English
Following qualifications is highly valued in the selection of the candidate:
• Product knowledge of VAC Structures
• Design Practise knowledge
• Experience from commercial FE codes such as ANSYS, ABAQUS and Hyperworks
• Experience from product development in an international context is highly valued
