The Advanced Sourcing team is part of Hardware Reference Platforms (HRP) organization within our Operations & Quality division at ST-Ericsson. HRP is a complete and integrated supply chain service, including HW integration, Industrialization, EMS management and full product Sourcing, continuously improving speed, quality and reliability of internal services for development needs. It is a global organization consisting of over 30 people with suppliers and internal customers also based in many locations across the world.
You will work with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) & Mechanics:
Providing Product Managers with technical and commercial trends (5 years horizon roadmap), sourcing of new technologies when needed and supporting in the formulation of needed technological improvements with partners that enables technical and competitive excellence within ST-Ericsson designs
Assisting R&D and Product Management to design cost effective platforms and leading edge technical excellence
Managing and developing partnership with two way support from the Procurement operations
Securing access to emerging technology in strategic areas
Working closely with the relevant people to find the best supplier, technology and market solutions, inclusive of sourcing suppliers for partnering for technology solutions
Providing clear roadmap support for all platforms and communicating key information to the procurement operation
Ensuring legally safe relationships with suppliers and competing internal departments, by having correct contracts in place, ensuring confidentiality within internal processes, tools and systems and through negotiating terms in line with the needs of the organization
Sales & Marketing, R&D and Product Management to ensure both ST-Ericsson and, where competitive and technically suitable
Seeking the key information on the market and where required negotiate to ensure full database management for key data such as price database, supplier performance and contract management
Managing in the creation and implementation of tools and processes to support job accountabilities
Competence:
M. Sc. degree in Business Administration and/or some commercial recognized institute qualification i.e. SILF
Experience of Printed Circuit Board industry/technology within telecommunication is essential for the role
Used to analytical work
Good communication and documentation skills
Excellent English skills, both verbal and in writing
High ability to work independently, take initiative and drive own work
Good social and networking skills to support teamwork in project
Well organized, structured and curious
