The Windows Products department 4358 within Site Gothenburg is responsible for the development, maintenance and finance of Windows products running on the Windows platform. The group consists of 32 people working with various Windows Products.
We are searching for a senior SQL Server technical specialist to reinforce the team.
About the job:
You will be part of the Global SQL Server team, which is a virtual team that operates from multiple locations. The team manage databases running on a multiple of SQL versions. All the features within the Microsoft SQL server product portfolio are used.
The team works globally with customers located all over the world, within the Volvo Group as well as with companies that outsource to Volvo IT.
Weekend and evening work is part of the job but the normal working hours are between 08:00-17:00
Qualifications and skills required:
For this position, we need a person with very good experience in the IT field. You have a minimum of 3 years of experience with SQL-server and if you have a SQL- Server Certification is this an advantage. Your knowledge in Microsoft SQL 2005/2008/R2 is on an expert level and so is also your knowledge in installing backup and restoring SQL database. You have deep knowledge of database security methodologies, including SQL security, mixed security and also server- and database roles. In addition to all this you also have deep knowledge in clustering and replication.
We are now looking for you that have a strong customer focus and are well organized. You have the ability to see details and you like to collaborate with the team but you also need to be an independent driving force.
The general qualifications are that you have an adequate academic qualification and that you are a communicative team-player. You have to have the ability establish and maintain good relations and also have the ability to work in global, multi-cultural organization. You also have to be proficient in both spoken and written English and Swedish.
