We are the world's largest manufacturer of sodium chlorate and one of the largest producers of hydrogen peroxide. We supply essential chemicals to the global pulp industry and other selected industries from 24 locations worldwide. Our head office is located in Marietta, Georgia, USA and we employ 950 people.
We have an immediate opening for an individual who can fulfil the following key role as Senior Specialist within Bleaching Chemicals Technology.
Main responsibilities
• Ensure the specialist competence and follow the development within the hydrogen peroxide technology area.
• Be contact person for hydrogen peroxide plants, actively follow up and support the business and ensure that the most cost efficient and technology is used.
• Make long-term project proposals to develop the hydrogen peroxide process so that the most cost efficient and competitive technology is used.
• Lead projects decided by the Bleaching Chemicals Technology Manager.
• Participate in realization of projects regarding new processes and products.
• Participate in projects within the Bleaching Chemicals Technology organization.
• Ensure that knowledge within the hydrogen peroxide technology area is transferred within the organization.
• Identify and solve complicated chemical and technical related problems.
• Develop and implement new methods and working tools in the business.
• Be a resource for all hydrogen peroxide plants regarding process development and optimization.
• Establish and develop necessary contacts regarding the technology within Pulp & Performance Chemicals.
• Follow the development within the responsibility area and suggest relevant education.
• Maintain the peroxide technology sharepoint site.
• Be a resource for all hydrogen peroxide plants for process related issues or projects in the field of health, safety, environment and quality.
• Involve in MES development, implementation and support as ?Key - User? in HP plants.
Qualifications
• Master of Science in Chemical Engineering or similar.
• Several years of experience in research, process development and production within chemical industry.
• Profound knowledge and several years of experience within the hydrogen peroxide technology area.
• Experience of leading projects.
• Good communication skills.
• Good knowledge in English.
• Ability to travel.
