As a software test engineer in the software team in Mullsjö you will be a part of a creative and highly skilled team of software engineers specialized in software for the automotive industry. The tech center designs future automatic shifters and actuators including control modules among other new exciting electromechanical products. Software is a vital part in our products putting focus on controlling the mechatronics.
The engineering team belonging to Powertrain & Chassis business unit consist of roughly 65 engineers in different teams having full development in house at Kongsberg Automotive AB. The engineers belong to a variety of engineering disciplines such as mechanical design, HW/SW design, systems engineering, and full validation of the product.
Main objectives
As a Software Test Engineer, you will participate in the planning of the software testing, analyze requirements, write test cases, implement test cases, develop automated tests and perform the testing.

Who are you?
The one we are looking for is a trained engineer with a specialization in computer science, electronics or equivalent and you have a passion for test. You have documented experience of software test in an embedded environment and have good knowledge in test methods. As a person, you feel comfortable taking initiative and acting with confidence. We are looking for someone who focuses on customer needs and sets high standards for quality. It is important that you have good cooperation skills and are responsive to your coworkers. The work requires that you are analytical, thorough and structured, and that you can express yourself unhindered in English, both in speech and writing.
You have:
Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science & Engineering or similar
5 or more years of experience in software test
Automotive experience is merited
