Publiceringsdatum2011-11-02Dina arbetsuppgifterThe Senior Software Engineer is a key member of the API and integration organization. You will be the primary point of contact for all integration efforts in the EMEA region, both internally and externally. You will work closely with the software developers at Pelco and Pelco's worldwide third party integration partners. As a Senior Software Engineer you will also support the development of the customer's applications that will utilize and interface with Pelco's equipment using, SDK, API or XPortal software. Development of use cases and sample code based on needs identified by working with Pelco's Integration partners is a key function for this role. You will report to the Global Integration Operations Manager on a regular basis. As a Senior Software Engineer you will be the one that drives resolution of issues requiring cross-group collaboration and provide technical assistance and design consultation by phone and email.
The role of the Senior Software Engineer will over time transcend to the role of an Integration Operations Manager for the EMEA-region. The role will still include the majority of the above mentioned tasks as well as managing a team of software engineers in this region.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
We are looking for a person that has a bachelor's or master's degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related area. You have a background in software development and you are proficient in at least two object-oriented programming languages such as C#, C++ and JAVA. You have a structured approach to debugging and troubleshooting practices and you are strong in both verbal and written communication. You have a good understanding of a service business in a high tech environment, from a supplies, integrator or end users point of view. It is an advantage if you have good knowledge of video security systems and components. As a Senior Software Engineer you have knowledge in TCP and UDP network protocols as well as Unicast and Multicast routing protocols.

You are inspired in working in a team atmosphere, sharing ideas and see the strength in constructive criticism within the team. You will learn new technologies, programming languages and techniques in a company of highly motivated and inspiring colleagues.
