Leica Geosystems Technology, situated in Stockholm (Huddinge), is a part of the Machine Control Division and has a strong reputation for developing high quality products, mainly for the construction industry. Leica Geosystems Technology in Stockholm is one of four development locations for our Construction business and is focused on implementing the latest technology for our machine control product range in order to increase efficiency and productivity for our customers.
We are now looking for a Senior Software Engineer

Leica Geosystems and the division of Machine Control are currently developing the most advanced control system for civil engineering -and construction machinery. The system includes 3D models, positioning, control of hydraulics and server communication.
We now want to strengthen our software development team with a senior software developer. We are looking for someone with passion for C + +, command and control technology, and hardware -near programming.
You will be part of an international team and collaborate with our colleagues from Switzerland, Australia and Denmark (among others). We are working in small efficient teams with access to the machines for immediate testing. The work includes design, coding and testing of our machine control -systems.
You will be part of a goal orientated environment and directly see the fruits of your labor. We also have direct contact with key stakeholder such as the supply chain division and the end customers.
The role will require travel a few trips a year, mainly in Europe.
Your skills:
• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong and extensive C++/Windows development skills
• Extensive knowledge of MFC library and Qt framework
• Proven skills in architecture and platform development
• Well experienced with Test Driven Development
• Experience with Agile development methods
• Bonus: C#/.NET
• Bonus: Cloud Computing/Web services
• BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Fluent in English
