The Team
Our Engineering & Tech Operations team builds and operates complex solutions for global business challenges that cross cultures, legal jurisdictions, and impacts millions of people and businesses every day. This position
The Software Engineer will focus on and be a part of our backend team working with core functionalities and infrastructure of the product. It is a wide range of tasks including performance, scaling, deployment, provisioning, telemetry and other core functionalities. Further evolving our automation and test automation is also a vital part of the role.
This position is an Individual Contributor reporting to the Director of Engineering.
Responsibilities
Performing development tasks within the team
Being a part of solution and vision discussions in the team
Securing key KPI's of the product such as performance, scaling and upgradeability/maintainability
Driving your own work and securing progress with own responsibility
Component ownership for some of our technical components
Basic Qualifications
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience
Experience as a Software Engineer or a similar Java role
Strong understanding and experience in agile methodologies
Fluency in English
Test and automation background
Java (11)
Docker (Compose, Swarm, Kubernetes)
SQL (Postgres)
Solr (Lucene Index)
Broker (Kafka, ActiveMQ)
Spring Framework
Jetty, Guice, Jersey
Preferred Qualifications
Passion for new technologies
Experience in autonomous environment
