Nasdaq is now looking for two highly skilled Senior Software Engineers to join our team in Stockholm. As a Senior Software Engineer you will be responsible for designing and implementing fintech solutions for our external and internal clients. You will be a part of the Market Tech Index Development team, working with our machine learning-based analytics platform and our Nasdaq Index Calculator. Our work is done in close collaboration with our global customers so you will get many opportunities to travel to places like Singapore, Istanbul and/or New York.
The role entails responsibilities such as:
* Develop new functionality with very high quality in a limited time.
* Take active part in developing the product architecture.
* Collaborate closely with other internal teams - such as development, project management, system management, on a global scale, in order to resolve issues.
Education and Professional accomplishments:
* University degree qualified in a discipline related to Computer Science and/or a master in finance or mathematics.
* 8 + years of relevant working experience.
Skills and Requirements:
* Thorough knowledge and experience of Java (alternatively C/C++)
* Experience with distributed systems
* Experience with development of low latency/high performance systems is a merit
* Experience with machine learning and/or data science is a merit
* Experience with code generation is a merit
* Experience with cloud platforms, AWS in particular is a merit.
* Experience with Spring, Maven and networking/NIO is a merit
* Experience working with Linux, including scripting in bash, Perl or similar.
