Digital Delivery is a new function within Volvo Group Digital & IT. It has the ambition to identify and execute on new digital initiatives in tight collaboration with TD/BAs and Group Functions as well as modernize and transform our existing solutions into products and to secure agile ways of working across the whole Digital Delivery function.
Together with our digital talents, we will work on solution design and deliveries to improve business performance and create value at scale for Volvo Group. Included in our mission is to drive an efficient Volvo Group Digital & IT interface and Portfolio Management for the TD/BAs and Group Functions.
We collaborate with other parts of the organization, both in Volvo Group Digital & IT, with TD/BAs and Group Functions. We foster an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. We are team players with clear common ambitions, and we win together.
VCE Diagnostics stable team
We are a stable team working with Diagnostics in the Aftermarket Technology area towards to Volvo Construction Equipment and we are now searching for a team member to complement our great stable team with frontend development. We are a full stack team with all digital competences connected into one team and we embrace the agile way of working and explore as we go. We work closely with Global Diagnostic Service Platform and follow the GDSP train pace and collaborate with several stable teams who work both towards GTT as Penta and VCE. We believe in team-collaboration rather then supply-demand way of working and find pleasure in team accomplishments. We know that we get best results in both listening to each other and to be challenging each other if there is something we need to explore or develop to become even better.
Your Mission If You Accept It
Lead front-end development within VCE Diagnostics stable team, focusing on building user-friendly and efficient web applications.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into responsive and visually appealing front-end solutions.
Act as a mentor and share best practices with team members to improve the front-end development skills of the stable team.
Continually explore and implement new technologies and tools to improve the team's front-end development capabilities.
Lead efforts to optimize and improve the usability of diagnostic applications.
Actively participate in code reviews and help refine coding standards and guidelines within the team.
Your Experiences
Experience as a senior software engineer specializing in front-end development.
Proficient in HTML, CSS, NodeJS and TypeScript and have successfully developed high quality web applications.
Experience with PolymerJS and ElectronJS and the ability to develop and seamlessly integrate web components.
Proven experience in pair programming, fostering collaboration, and cultivating a growth mindset within the team.
Keep up to date on new technologies and trends in front-end development.
Nice to Have
Experience with Azure DevOps to further streamline the development and deployment pipeline.
Proficiency with SonarQube or similar platforms to assess and improve code quality.
Familiarity with SAFe methodology and agile practices that enable effective teamwork and alignment with the concept of the stable team.
Familiarity with Volvo Construction Equipment or similar industries for contextual understanding.
