Digital Delivery is a new function within Volvo Group Digital & IT. It has the ambition to identify and execute on new digital initiatives in tight collaboration with TD/BAs and Group Functions as well as modernize and transform our existing solutions into products and to secure agile ways of working across the whole Digital Delivery function.
Together with our digital talents, we will work on solution design and deliveries to improve business performance and create value at scale for Volvo Group. Included in our mission is to drive an efficient Volvo Group Digital & IT interface and Portfolio Management for the TD/BAs and Group Functions.
We collaborate with other parts of the organization, both in Volvo Group Digital & IT, with TD/BAs and Group Functions. We foster an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. We are team players with clear common ambitions, and we win together.
VCE Diagnostics stable team
We are a stable team working with Diagnostics in the Aftermarket Technology area towards to Volvo Construction Equipment and we are now searching for a team member to complement our great stable team with frontend development. We are a full stack team with all digital competences connected into one team and we embrace the agile way of working and explore as we go. We work closely with Global Diagnostic Service Platform and follow the GDSP train pace and collaborate with several stable teams who work both towards GTT as Penta and VCE. We believe in team-collaboration rather then supply-demand way of working and find pleasure in team accomplishments. We know that we get best results in both listening to each other and to be challenging each other if there is something we need to explore or develop to become even better.
Your Mission If You Accept It
Lead microservices development within VCE Diagnostics' stable team, leveraging your knowledge of NodeJS and TypeScript.
Leverage the Microservices Software Design Pattern to create scalable and efficient solutions for diagnostic applications.
Explore and implement microservices methods for data storage, including MongoDB, REST, and GraphQL.
Work with the team to integrate PolymerJS and ElectronJS components into microservices to improve functionality.
Ensure seamless workflows from development to deployment with Azure DevOps for Microservices.
Play a central role in deploying microservices on Azure RedHat OpenShift and optimize the team's cloud-based infrastructure.
Actively participate in pair programming sessions to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among team members.
Your Experiences
Demonstrate experience as a Senior Software Engineer with a strong focus on microservices development.
Demonstrate expertise in NodeJS, TypeScript, and the Microservices Software Design Pattern with a track record of successful implementations.
Experience with MongoDB for data storage for microservices using REST and GraphQL methods.
Familiarity with PolymerJS and ElectronJS so that you can effectively integrate these technologies into microservices.
Experience with Azure DevOps for end-to-end development and deployment automation.
Expertise in deploying microservices on Azure RedHat OpenShift and optimizing the team's cloud-based infrastructure.
Demonstrated commitment to pair programming with a growth mindset that fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Nice to Have
Hands-on experience using Azure DevOps to further streamline microservices development and deployment.
Successful track record implementing microservices on Azure RedHat OpenShift, including optimization and scalability.
Knowledge of using SonarQube or similar platforms to assess and improve code quality in the context of microservices.
Experience with cloud solutions such as AWS or other platforms that extend the range of development options for microservices.
Additional knowledge of SonarQube or similar platforms for comprehensive code analysis and optimization.
Familiarity with Volvo Construction Equipment or similar industries for contextual understanding.
