This is how you could make an impact
The Automated Driver team is responsible for developing solutions and algorithms that control the vehicle behavior. Together with other teams at V.A.S. we build components that realizes the transport solutions of tomorrow. To succeed with that challenge we are looking for talents who in addition to having experience of modern software implementation also shares our passion for control theory and its applications in function development.
If you join our team, you have the possibility to influence our products and the way we work in an exciting industry with the mission to create desirable transport solutions. In this job, you will make a difference by tackling the challenge of automated driving through team collaboration, innovative concepts, algorithms and quality software code. In practice, examples of your work task can be:
Developing solutions and algorithms to control an automated vehicle in a real time system
Designing and implementing best practice software, which is modular, maintainable and fulfills the automotive industry requirements for cutting-edge technology
Interacting with highly skilled people to both gain and share knowledge
The team is dedicated to ownership for the Automated Driver area and securing that the quality of our developed and deployed solution meets the demands of our customers. We strive for a broad competence profile within our team, so every member must be open to work on all topics relevant for the team while still fostering their special expertise. Based on your experience, competence and interest you also have the possibility to shape your role and develop professionally.
Who are you?
To succeed in this job, it is beneficial to have a solution oriented and collaborative mindset with a desire to improve status-quo all the while advocating simple solutions when appropriate. In addition, we would like you to bring:
A Master or PhD degree in engineering, control theory, computer science, robotics, mathematics or similar technical field of study
Several years of experience in function development related to motion planning and control e.g. trajectory planning, tracking and optimization, optimal control, numerical optimization etc., preferably in the automotive domain
Experience and passion for modern software development (e.g. C++) for e.g. distributed systems, embedded systems, resource constrained real time systems etc.
Nice to have:
Experience with automotive coding standards (AUTOSAR, MISRA etc.) and functional safety standards and compliance e.g. ISO26262
Experience with CI/CD tools (Docker, Jenkins, Artifactory, GitLab...etc.)
Experience of Collaborative Coding, Continuous Integration and Product Development
