About the job
With this position you will become a part of the global Automation Development team, which is responsible for the development of advanced control systems and IoT solutions for all Alfa Laval core products. This is an exciting opportunity for you to be part of our journey of scaling up our products for "autonomous operation".
What you will do
As our new Software development Engineer, you will develop our automation systems in an Agile environment throughout the whole product lifecycle. That will include:
SW engineering through breakdown of features, task specification & follow up, programming, testing, documentation, source code management, deployment, and issue tracking.
Creating global automation standards for Alfa Laval through cross-site collaboration.
Working in Sprints as a part of a self-organizing team.
Who you are
We believe that you are a passionate software developer who thrives in a vibrant workspace environment. You will work closely with a team where knowledge sharing and delivery as a team are vital components. As such, you enjoy both programming and testing your work in real life. Besides that, we expect you to have:
A university degree (e.g., Embedded Systems / Industrial Automation) (preferably MSc, MEng, BSc, BEng).
More than 3 years of work experience from Software Engineering & Standardizations.
Previous experience from PLC programming in text-based languages (Structured Text, C, C++), and/or programming experience in Embedded systems.
Knowledge in Software Development Models & Methods (OOP, S88, PackML).
Customer focused mindset and a solid team player spirit with eagerness to learn and quickly to adapt to new conditions.
Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
