About the role as Senior Software Developer Design Automation - key responsibilitiesAs a Senior Software Developer, you will be provided a central role for implementing solutions in our Design Automation product integrated to CAD systems such as SOLIDWORKS®, Autodesk Inventor® and PTC Creo® and used worldwide by our customers.

You will be part of our highly skilled Research and Development team. The tasks are varying in subject and size. You will implement feature requirements to enhance the capability of our products, adopt them to increase usability and performance but also maintain those going live. The Design Automation product is currently delivered as an on-premise integration to different CAD systems, but we are researching the possibilities to offer it also as SaaS. You will join a great team consisting of architects, tech writers, testers and developers with different backgrounds and seniority levels. We work in an adopted agile form in close contact with Product Management.

Your profile - Education, experience and skills required
We look for you that besides having a passion for software development also have some experience from CAD systems, either as developer or as a user. You have the drive to continuously improve yourself and the products you develop. You are intrigued with logical problem-solving challenges and eager to thoroughly define the problem prior to finding the best fitting solution for the end-user.

You are both a great team player that enjoys working in challenging projects as well as being able to work more independently and still deliver with efficiency and great quality.

As a person, you are a problem solver with analytical skills and constantly aspire to find better ways of working and willing to share your knowledge to coach others to grove in their professional role. You thrive in a changing environment and can persistently drive and adopt to changes.

You also meet the requirements of having:
A Master of Science degree, preferably in computer science, data or mechanical engineering, with strong academic results.

5+ years of experience from professional software development.

Excellent knowledge of C#, .Net, WPF and to do software development in Visual Studio. It is meriting if you know one or more CAD systems, how to do CAD, Jira, Git, C++, XML ASP.NET, Windows forms and Windows Programming.

Experience of Backend development. It is a plus if you also have experience of Frontend development (web design and/or graphical design).

Ability to interpret and transform functional specifications into intuitive, non-complex and creative software solutions.

Ability to describe and document the solution.

Strong communication skills in spoken and written English. Other language skills are beneficial.

A love for working with people from different cultures.
