About the position
We are looking to strengthen our engineering team in Gothenburg with a senior software developer. The position entails more than just software development - at Albatross we manage the entire process; from design, development, implementation and deployment to hosting and operating our solutions. The technical team is at the core of the organization and you can expect to be in close contact with customers as well as suppliers.
You will work within a small team of highly skilled engineers dedicated to delivering the highest quality to our customers, and we take particular pride in our very happy customers.
Tasks:
As a senior software developer you will be responsible for the architectural design, development and implementation of routing services for intelligent networks, both legacy TDM and SIP/IMS networks. Your key tasks will include the following:
• Analyze our customers' needs and design new services in close cooperation with our customers, suppliers and our own technical team
• Develop and implement the service and in some cases the corresponding customer user interfaces
• Deploy the service and support our customers in their acceptance testing
• Support our sales team in analyzing customer requirements, provide a technical solution description as well as work effort estimates
• On-call duty
• Strive for continuous optimization and look for new techniques that can be deployed to increase performance or reduce cost

Skills we are looking for
At Albatross we believe that a truly curious mindset and eagerness to learn new techniques make the top developer. However, possessing some of the following skills/personal characteristics is highly advantageous:
• Telecommunications experience, particularly with TDM networks and SS7 signaling and/or IMS/VoIP networks and SIP signaling
• Several years of developing experience (5+), senior knowledge of Java but have worked with several languages and tools such as: C++, SOAP, XML, Eclipse, Spring Framework, MySQL, Hibernate, JUnit, Ant, Subversion, Ivy, Tomcat, Netty, Log4j, Spring Security
• Both Linux and Windows knowledge
• An analytical mindset and ability to work in a structured way. You value quality and strive for continuous improvements
• Enjoy working in a small team and you are not afraid to take responsibility and own initiatives
• Fluent in both Swedish and English, both written and orally
