Your future challenge
The Communication Development department is located in Järfälla. With Software Defined Radio (SDR) and Networking technologies as a base we do product development and research. We are involved in several exciting projects with international stakeholders, and we are now looking for experienced software architects.
The role as a Senior SW Architect is depending on you profile. You will bear the main responsibility for the software architecture in the daily development work performed by a team of highly qualified engineers.
The team develops high data rate networking radio protocols (waveforms) in close cooperation with a number of European partners.
The role also includes regular meetings mostly in Stockholm with customers and other stakeholders, where you will participate in technical discussions and hold presentations of Saab's work. Organizing design reviews, planning and setting roadmaps are important components in your daily work.
You should also be willing to act as a mentor to younger engineers in the team.
Todays demands
You have
• At least 10 years of relevant work experience as a developer of embedded systems, architect and team leader
• Good pedagogic skills, to be able to present the group's work to others
• Fluency in the English and Swedish languages, written as well as orally
It is an advantage if you have
• A background within the radio communications sector
• An interest in SW tools and design methodologies
• Team leader experience
Security and Defence Solutions, a business area of Saab, offers command and control systems, airborne early warning systems, civil security systems and solutions, training and simulation, as well as telecom carrier.
At the division for Communication Systems, we develop software based products and solutions for land-, naval- and airbased military communication systems.
