Develop next generation platform for Self-driving cars

About our R&D - System Design & Integration
Our department consist of around 200 people that are responsible for the Active safety platform for enabling driver assistance and collision avoidance functions. We are also responsible for making Autonomous Drive become reality for the customer. To make this happen we are working closely with different stakeholders, function design , software developers and sensor teams developing state-of-the-art LiDARs, ultrasonic sensors as well as cameras and radars. Within our team we have several core areas as System design, software architecture and software Integration & verification.
We are now looking for a Senior leader that will work with our software architecture
You are a driven, structured, and self-motivated senior team player, who will be a part of our agile development team. You are very skilled within SW architecture & design and will be part of developing our next generation of premium Volvo Cars. You will be a member in a group of around 35 engineers and will collaborate with other architects, lead developers, Product owners and stakeholder, both internal and external.
Your key tasks
You will lead us in the work with designing and developing a flexible SW architecture for our sensor platform . Together with SW design engineers you will lead and guid technical activities and the development of key concepts across the organization.
You will also work closely with product management and product owner to establish the technical roadmap. In the work you will lead the work defining SW processes internal and external, securing functional safety, cyber security and optimize sensor and sensor fusion integration. We are handling memory intensive applications and processing sensor data in NVIDIA core compute system. It's important to be able to handle the non-functional requirements for optimizing the CPU/GPU load and timing aspects. You will secure that the SW architecture is coherently designed and take part in implementing key software concepts and supporting the integration of those in prototype and target environments.
We see that you have experience within:
* Experience from Software architecture design in complex embedded systems
* Real time fault tolerant software design
* Solid coding experience in C/C++ and Python
* Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery/Deployment
* Object oriented development
* Working with different functional safety standards e.g. ISO26262, SOTIF and Cyber security
It's meritorious to have knowledge in:
* Ethernet, TCP/IP, CAN
* Linux
* Autosar
* Git, Gerrit, Jenkins
* Machine learning, neural network and computer vision
* NVIDIA automotive HW/SW tools
You have:
* At least Master of Science within electronics, mechatronics, software or similar
* More than 10 years of experience with SW design work
* Very good skills in English both written and spoken
* Driver's license "B", valid in EU is meritorious.
