SweTree Technologies is a plant and forest biotechnology company providing products and technologies to improve the productivity and performance properties of plants and wood for forestry. We have for several years successfully developed a substantial portfolio of trait genes and are now developing these trait genes further towards products.
5 new employees as: Senior Scientist /Scientists, Research Engineers and Technicians.
We are now planning to expand our activities in developing GM Eucalyptus trees for commercial planting. We therefore need to strengthen our research team in the areas of Plant transformation, and in the area of modern experimental plant biology (combing plant physiology with transgenic/ molecular techniques).
The work will consist of:
• Experimental plant physiology and plant molecular research
• Plant genetic transformation
• Follow the trait genes through different phases.
• Work with clients and products in the market
• All this from a Biotechnology and Business perspective.
The candidates:
The Scientists: You have a PhD in plant physiology and/or plant molecular biology. For senior positions we envision that you have significant post doctorial research experience. For positions more directed to plant transformation, experience of genetic transformation of plants and protocol set up thereof is important.
The Research Engineers and the Technicians:
You have experience in plant physiology and/or plant molecular biology and can solve problems and find solutions for your work. You have a university / college degree in plant biology, molecular biology or engineering.
Entry requirements:
You are motivated, prepared for both practical and scientific work and have the ability to work in a team towards common goals. Industrial experience from plant biotechnology industry is an advantage. Good communication skills in spoken and written English and Swedish are a prerequisite.
