Across our three facilities in Keele (UK), Södertälje (Sweden) and Matfors (Sweden) we deliver quality commercial, clinical, and pre-clinical products. Cobra's services include; cell line development, analytical and process development, cGMP production, fill/finish and lyophilisation of recombinant proteins, antibodies, DNA, viruses and whole cell products. All our programs meet cGMP standards with full regulatory support.
We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Scientist, Protein Analytical Chemist, reporting to Analytical and Purification Delivery Manager. This role is a permanent position.
The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the Analytical Scientific Lead, project managers as well as with other functions within the organization.
The main duties will include:
• Prepare Study plans and Study reports.
• Report results for clients
• Protein characterization using mass spectrometry
• Design and development of analytical procedures to meet high performance and quality demands
• Validation of Analytical methods
• Representing the Analytical function in project teams
• Maintenance of equipment
• Generation of Standard Operating Procedures and Methods
Qualifications:
• Education, PhD or equivalent, in Analytical science, or several years of experience in relevant area
• Experienced in protein characterisation using mass spectrometry.
• Experience in validation/qualification of assays is a merit
• Applicant should be used to solve assigned tasks independently, to apply scientific methodology to plan studies and to evaluate obtained results
• Applicant should be able to communicate obtained results
• Good understanding of laboratory work in a GMP regulated environment
• English and Swedish language skills
The individual will be expected to interact at all levels of the organisation and should be able to demonstrate accuracy, responsibility and good communication skills. The position will be based at the Södertälje site.
