hela Sverige This Senior Scientist position will lead cell line development activities initially for a specific program, support fast FIH development, prepare cell line development report as supporting document for IND filing. Perform gap analysis and lead commercial cell line development activities.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
1.Responsible for establishing internal cell line development platform and generating high producing cell lines. Will focus on the development of cardiac stem cells for clinical manufacturing.
2.Performing key activities associated with production cell line development including characterization of clonal cell lines, cell banking, and cell line stability studies.
4.Understanding IP landscape of novel technologies in cell line development and developing corresponding strategies to ensure FTO.
5.Managing development projects with external partners and outsourcing activities.
6.Writing technical reports and presenting data in project and group meetings.
7.Working closely with upstream process development and purification teams to support development activities.
9.Supervising direct reports as functional team grows.
Requirements:
• PhD in Cell/Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Biomanufacturing or related field with 4-8 years of relevant academic or post-graduate experience in industrial cell line experience
• 2-5 years of industry or academic experience in the development of biologics (cells, or cell-derived products) for therapeutic use
• Flexibility in working schedule to accommodate weekend work
• Authorized to legally work in Sweden
Skills/Knowledge Required:
1.Extensive experience with generating cardiac stem cells.
2.Extensive and hands on experience with cell sorting. FACS analysis, qPCR.
6.The candidate must be well organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills with a proven record on publication and presentation in scientific conferences.
7.Demonstrated ability to think critically, contribute to experiment design, and excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
8.To be able to perform well in cross functional team to drive project according to project timeline.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with suspension culture or large -scale (bioreactor) culture
• Experience in a GMP manufacturing environment
• Experience with assay development
• Previous experience and knowledge of cardiovascular biology
• Prior industrial experience in cell culture process development
