We are now recruiting a biochemist with experience of protein purification for an 11 months assignment within the global department Cell, Protein and Structural Sciences at AstraZeneca, Mölndal. Preferred start date 1 December.
We are seeking candidates with experience of laboratory work and a strong laboratory focus. The main tasks include protein purification and protein expression in various cell systems. You are expected to plan and perform experiments and evaluate results, keep accurate records and present results.
The drug discovery research involves multidisciplinary teams working together with a common aim. Therefore excellent interpersonal skills, good organisational skills, motivation is a must. You need to be proficient in English and fluent in Swedish.
Bachelor, MSc (Fil. Kand eller Fil. Mag) or PhD with a focus on biochemistry or equivalent and >1 year of working experience in biological sciences. The position requires a strong laboratory focus and experience of laboratory work.
Experience in protein purification is an essential requirement. Large scale purification experience is strongly advantageous. Additional experience in protein expression is meriting.
You are expected to work comfortably in teams, be capable of independent work and be proficient in the use of sensitive and sometimes complex equipment.
Candidates should posses good social skills and be strong team players. You should be able to work independently, have good organisation skills and be highly motivated and delivery focused.
