We are now recruiting Senior Scientists Cellbiologists for two assignment at Cell Protein and Structural Science, AstraZeneca, Mölndal. Preferred starting date is 1 July and duration of the positions is 6 or 12 months, respectively.
The Cell, Protein and Structural Science (CPSS) department in Mölndal, Sweden, is a part of the global discovery organization of AstraZeneca. CPSS delivers cells and proteins for assays and screening, provides information on protein-ligand interactions and drives the exploitation of structural information in drug discovery projects. The laboratory has around 60 scientists working in various disciplines: Cell science, Protein science, Biophysics, NMR spectroscopy and Protein crystallography. The Cell and Protein Science section delivers cells and proteins for screening and structural studies as well as scientific input in the drug discovery process.
We are looking for a senior research scientist with a Ph. D. in cellbiology or equivalent experience. The position requires solid hands-on experience and knowledge, both theoretical and practical, within the field of cellbiology. Extensive experience of and expertise in culturing of adherent cells of different origin are required. In addition, experience in culturing of primary cells and other more complex cellculturing systems is advantageous. Previous experience of large scale cell culturing is a merit.
It is essential to have good social and communication skills and to be a strong team player. Candidates should be able to work independently, take own initiatives and have a positive, goal oriented and problem solving attitude. Good organisational skills are required and you should be comfortable in presenting your results. Excellent english is required, both spoken and in writing.
