About Asgard Therapeutics
Asgard Therapeutics is a privately held biotech company pioneering in vivo direct cell reprogramming for cancer immunotherapy, backed by Johnson & Johnson Innovation - JJDC, Inc., RV Invest, Novo Holdings, Boehringer Ingelheim Venture Fund, and Industrifonden. Our lead candidate, AT-108, is a first-in-class gene therapy that reprograms tumor cells into antigen-presenting dendritic cells (cDC1), triggering a personalized and potent anti-tumor immune response.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Scientist in Bioinformatics and Data Analysis to join our growing research and development team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in computational biology and omics data analysis, with a proven track record of developing and applying bioinformatics workflows to unreval complex biological mechanisms in oncology and immunology. Working at the intersection of bioinformatics and immune oncology, this role will play a pivotal part in the development of novel therapies by integrating multi-omics datasets (e.g., RNA/DNA sequencing, single-cell, spatial, proteomics) to identify biomarkers and support the design and interpretation of preclinical studies. The position requires strong scientific curiosity, independence, and the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable biological insights that advance our research pipeline, inform strategic decision-making, and guide clinical development.
Key responsibilities
Develop, implement, and optimize bioinformatics pipelines and workflows to support drug development efforts, focusing on high-dimensional datasets including bulk and single cell RNA-seq, DNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, ATAC-seq and proteomics.
Collaborate closely with the internal cross-functional R&D team, collaborators and contractors to support experimental planning and ensure scientific rigor and reproducibility.
Translate complex multi-omics data into actionable biological insights to drive biomarker discovery, elucidate mechanisms of action, and inform clinical strategy.
Lead the interpretation and presentation of bioinformatic findings in a way that is accessible and actionable for both scientific and executive stakeholders.
Stay current with emerging computational tools and advances in immune oncology to integrate novel bioinformatic approaches and pipelines into Asgard's R&D pipeline.
Oversee bioinformatics data management practices and infrastructure, including data organization, governance, and quality control, to ensure data integrity and traceability throughout the development pipeline.

Qualifications
PhD degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Systems Biology, Cancer Genomics, Immunology, or a related field.
Expertise in analyzing and integrating complex datasets (e.g. bulk and single-cell RNA-seq with TCR enrichment, spatial transcriptomics, proteomics and ATAC-seq)
Strong programming and data analysis skills in R, Python or similar languages.
Demonstrated ability to deliver independent bioinformatic analyses, from study design through to biological interpretation.
Experience working in oncology, immunology, or translational research.
Proven scientific track record with publications, presentations, or equivalent outputs in bioinformatics-driven discovery or translational pre-clinical and clinical research.
Knowledge of experimental workflows and molecular biology techniques upstream of data generation is a strong plus.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
