We are looking for a senior analytical chemist, expert in method development for analysis techniques like gas- and liquid chromatography. The position is based in Surface Design section in the R&D organization within BioProcess Media.
Essential Responsibilities
The mission of Surface Design is to support the department with expertise and technologies regarding ligand and surface modification chemistries and development, as well as analytical methods relevant to ligands and surface chemistries.
The role as GC, GC-MS, LC-MS expert comprises the following tasks:
To perform, and supervise colleagues, in area of analytic method development and other experimental work
To follow the scientific area, to implement and develop new separation techniques (or methods) to improve the analytical capability for small substances that can be identified in our products.
To individually plan, perform and document experiments in above mentioned area
Be responsible for maintenance and service of instruments that are used
The work is performed within the scope of different projects, which can be both research and/or development driven.

The applicant should be very experienced in
Analytical method development for LC and GC
Detection techniques like MS and fluorescence spectroscopy
Sampling and sample preparation methods
Use of classical statistical tests like ANOVA, t-tests and regression methods
It is also important to enjoy working in lab as well as have a more comprehensive view over the analytical methods in this area
have English as a working language
be able to work independently, alone as well as with others as team player
have good communication skill
