hela Sverige The role holder will contribute by applying their expertise to projects, and expand the competence and capability in the area of polymer characterisation with relevance for oral extended release formulations.
The role holder will also work close together within and outside the group in areas as:
• Optimise the in vivo and in vitro performance of drug products.
• Defining and delivering the material science strategy for the drug product.
• Defining the design space and physical science control strategy in collaboration with other functions.
• Exploitation of cutting edge in vitro and in vivo physical science technologies.
• Collaboratively helping to design, develop and implement global best practice in physical science.
The Role
In your role you will:
• Apply polymer expertise to drug projects, and expand the competence and capability in the area of polymer characterisation with relevance for oral extended release formulations.
• Plan, design, coordinate, set priorities and at times, lead internal and external work to achieve drug and non-drug project targets in a timely fashion and to agreed quality standards by applying technical knowledge and expertise.
• Assess record and report data accurately with a clear understanding of its reliability.
• Take responsibility for common laboratory equipment and facilities.
• Prepare documentation and formal reports in accordance with current standards.
• Apply technical knowledge to improvement projects and the evaluation of new technology/processes. Collaboration with specialist scientific and/or technology networks.
• May supervise co-workers and contribute to their training and development by acting as coach/mentor.
• Will work as a member of cross-functional teams, with a large degree of independence representing own department or area of expertise.
Minimum experience:
• M. Sc. or a PhD with at least 5 years relevant experience in polymer characterisation.
• Broad, hands-on experience in essential tools for polymer characterization is key for this role.
• General knowledge of chemical and physico-chemical properties of natural and synthetic polymers and their impact on technical applications is needed.
Preferred experience/requirements
• Experience of mathematical tools for evaluation of results is appreciated.
• Evidence of good communication skills.
• Strong personal drive, passion for the area and willingness to deliver results.
• Excellent ability to identify key questions and to design and execute experiments to evaluate different scientific hypotheses.
• Excellent team working and networking skills.
• Ability to coach other scientists.
• Excellent leadership skills.
